Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, has seen 11 more lines for China-Europe freight train operations this year, bringing the total number of China-Europe cargo transport railway lines of the city to 31.

Yekaterinburg in Russia, Tilburg in the Netherlands and Kiev in Ukraine are among the new destinations, according to the Hefei International Land Port Development Co., Ltd.

On Thursday morning, a train carrying 280 tonnes of home appliances and anti-epidemic materials left for Duisburg, Germany, which brought the number of Hefei-departed China-Europe cargo trains to a record high of 500 this year.

More and more local products, including automobile and refrigerators, are loaded on trains and delivered to Europe, said Chen Feng, deputy general manager of the company.

China-Europe cargo train services were inaugurated in Hefei in 2014, which have covered 10 countries. This year, more than 1,800 tonnes of anti-epidemic materials were transported by trains from Hefei to Europe, according to the company.
